We Will:

  • Use the Partnership Team to deliver Action Plan Targets & Priorities.
  • Use multi–agency teams to deliver Targets & Priorities for areas of activity not covered directly by the Partnership Team.
  • Continue to use external professional & technical expertise to maximise and secure external funding for Action Plan Targets & Priorities.
  • Undertake an annual review of the progress made and communicate this to the wider community.
  • Continue to consult by feeding in the views and ideas from residents and partner organisations, and use these to amend or develop new targets.
  • Engage sectors of the community that have been under represented in the process up to now.

The Action Plan clearly maps out the strategy for the next three to ten years and the levels of funding required to bring the priorities and targets to fruition. It will help the Partnership, local Authority, Welsh Assembly; governmental and voluntary organisations identify the priorities needed to strengthen the community of Cwmaman.

It is clear from surveys, analysis and discussions with the community that there is a desire for change and expectations have been raised through the Communities First Programme. Our Community Action Plan will take forward the work of regenerating our community onto a second, more ambitious stage, which will change the lives of everyone who lives, works and visits our community.

How You Can Get Involved:
There are many ways you can get involved in helping to deliver Cwmaman Our Vision - Our Future, by participating, doing, influencing or leading. For instance you can:

  • Join one of the Partnership Action Groups - we will soon be forming two groups including Young Peoples Forum, Health & Wellbeing Action Group.
  • Help one of the partner organisations to deliver services or actions, which will help meet the ambitions in this strategy.
  • Get involved with one of the 40 Clubs & Societies and Arts Development Programme based at Cwmaman Institute, sports activities at the Canolfan Centre, Heritage & Environmental Festival Group based at St Joseph’s Church and other clubs and societies in the area.
  • Participate in the range of training and adult education classes being held throughout the year.
